At Novel in the Neighborhood, we believe in the power of stories and community. Our journey began with a dream to create a cozy safe haven for book lovers of all ages. Our mission is to uplift and support our neighbors, provide a space where you can disappear into a book, hang out and play a game with your family, and meet your neighbors at one of our many monthly events.
Tiffany: Store Owner and Operator
Tiffany has worked with families and children her entire career, including in the nonprofit sector as an event planner and fundraiser, in the school systems as a resource management associate and preschool teacher, and in the community as an online publisher and community events specialist.
She fell in love with reading as a child, mostly in part to reading Little Golden Books with her Grandma Grace. She currently reads across all genres but loves romance and thrillers the most. She has been married to Chris for 22 years. They have two boys, Tristan and Tyler. She loves to read, travel, binge a good show on Netflix, and spend time with her family and friends. Owning a bookstore is a lifelong dream and she can't wait to welcome you into the store!
Chris: The Unpaid Maintenance Man, Construction Worker, Security Expert, Tech Help, Builder and Fixer of all the things!
Chris has worked in the Marine industry for over 20 years. He is a national training manager and can make a cheesecake that rivals any you have ever had. He gets his cooking and baking skills from his mom and grandma, and his ability to fix anything from his dad. Although he will not be involved in the day to day operations, this store wouldn’t exist without him. He is the absolute best husband and father anyone could ask for.
Tristan: Bookseller and Inventory Specialist
Tristan is 21 years old and a junior in college at ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. He has been a substitute teacher with Pasco county schools and a Summer camp counselor. His dream after college is to write/report on the movie and publishing industry. He loves the horror genre and classics, but reads everything. He also loves watching obscure horror films, going to concerts, and playing the guitar. Tristan will be at the store most days and can't wait to help you find your next great read!
Tyler: Bookseller and Expert Tea Maker
Tyler is 17 and a junior in high school. He is in the cadet program with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s office and is preparing for a career in law enforcement after high school. When he is not at cadets, he is volunteering in the community and has racked up over 600 volunteer hours. Tyler is a jack of all trades like his dad, but will definitely surprise you with his love of theater and Broadway music. You will see Tyler a few days a week after school. He is looking forward to making you a great cup of tea and reading to our little neighbors.
